The F2004 still holds outright lap records at circuits that have not been reprofiled since, which is a strange thing to be able to say about a car from 2004 - modern cars are heavier, on worse tyres, with less engine. It was the end of the run: Schumacher's seventh title, Ferrari's sixth straight constructors' championship, and then the tyre rules changed and it stopped.
