The exhaust-blown diffuser, taken further than anyone else and eventually to off-throttle blowing, which kept the effect alive when the driver lifted
Fifteen poles from nineteen races - the car was on another level over one lap and merely very good over a race distance. Vettel took the championship at the last round in Abu Dhabi having led the standings for exactly none of the season until it ended. Exhaust blowing was progressively restricted and then banned for 2014.
